Models 707B and 708B Switching Matrix Reference Manual
Section 7: Command reference
707B-901-01 Rev. A / August 2010
7-65
Details
If the output line is write-protected using the
digio.writeprotect
attribute, the command is ignored.
The
reset()
function does not affect the present state of the digital I/O lines.
Use the
digio.writebit()
and
digio.writeport()
commands to control the output state of the
synchronization line when trigger operation is set to
digio.TRIG_BYPASS
.
The data must be zero (0) to clear the bit. Any value other than zero (0) sets the bit.
Example
digio.writebit(4, 0)
Sets digital I/O Line 4 low (0).

digio.writeport()
This function writes to all digital I/O lines.

Default value
Function Yes
Usage
digio.writeport(data)
data
Value to write to the port (0 to 16383)
Details
The binary representation of
data
indicates the output pattern to be written to the I/O port. For example, a
data
value of 170 has a binary equivalent of 00000010101010. Lines 2, 4, 6, and 8 are set high (1), and the other 10
lines are set low (0).
Write-protected lines are not changed.
The
reset()
function does not affect the present states of the digital I/O lines.
Use the
digio.writebit()
and
digio.writeport()
commands to control the output state of the
synchronization line when trigger operation is set to
digio.TRIG_BYPASS
.
Example
digio.writeport(255)
Sets digital I/O Lines 1 through 8 high (binary
00000011111111).
