Reinigung und Lagerung des Motorrads

Matt lackierte Teile, worauf ist zu

achten

ACHTUNG

Einige Modelle sind mit matt lackier-

ten Teilen ausgestattet. Bevor Sie das

Motorrad reinigen, sollten Sie sich

von einem Keeway-Händler über die

zu verwendenden Produkte beraten

lassen. Die Verwendung von Bürsten,

starken Chemikalien oder aggres-

siven Reinigungsmitteln zur Reini-

gung dieser Teile kann die Oberflä-

che zerkratzen oder beschädigen. Es

wird auch empfohlen, kein Wachs auf

Teile mit matter Lackierung aufzutra-

gen.

Reinigung

Die offene Struktur eines Motorrads offen-

bart zwar alle attraktiven Aspekte seiner

Technik, macht es aber auch anfälliger.

Trotz der Verwendung hochwertiger Kom-

ponenten können sich Rost und Korrosion

bilden.

Ein rostiges Auspuffrohr mag an einem

Auto unscheinbar aussehen, aber bei ei-

nem Motorrad beeinträchtigt es die Ästhe-

tik erheblich.

Eine häufige und ordnungsgemäße Reini-

gung erfüllt nicht nur die Garantiebedin-

gungen, sondern erhält auch das Aussehen

des Motorrads, verlängert seine Lebens-

dauer und optimiert seine Leistung.

Vor der Reinigung

1. Decken Sie die Auspufföffnung mit

einer Plastiktüte ab, wenn der Motor

abgekühlt ist.

2. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Stecker

und Abdeckungen, Steckverbinder

und elektrischen Verbindungselemen-

te, einschließlich der Zündkerzenste-

cker, fest angezogen sind.

3. Entfernen Sie schwer zu behandelnde

Verschmutzungen, wie z. B. verbrann-

tes Öl auf dem Kurbelgehäuse, mit ei-

nem Entfetter und einer Bürste, aber

wenden Sie diese Produkte niemals

auf Öldichtungen, Dichtungen, Ritzel,

die Antriebskette und Radbolzen an.

Spülen Sie Schmutz und Entfetter im-

mer mit Wasser ab.

Reinigung

ACHTUNG

• Vermeiden Sie die Verwendung

stark säurehaltiger Radreiniger,

insbesondere bei Speichenrädern.

Wenn Sie solche Produkte für be-

sonders hartnäckige Verschmut-

zungen verwenden, belassen Sie

das Reinigungsmittel nicht länger

als in der Gebrauchsanweisung an-

gegeben auf der betroffenen Ober-

fläche. Spülen Sie die Oberfläche

ebenfalls gründlich mit Wasser ab,

trocknen Sie sie sofort und tragen

Sie anschließend ein Korrosions-

schutzspray auf.
