Planmäßige Wartung und Einstellung

3. Schmieren Sie die Antriebskette gründ-

lich mit einem speziell für O-Ring-Ket-

ten entwickelten Schmiermittel.

ACHTUNG

Verwenden Sie kein Motoröl oder

andere Schmiermittel für die An-

triebskette, da diese Substanzen

enthalten können, die die O-Ringe

beschädigen.

Kontrolle und Schmierung der Zug-

kabel

Prüfen Sie vor der Fahrt stets die Funktion

aller Steuerkabel und den Zustand der Ka-

bel und schmieren Sie die Kabelenden bei

Bedarf.

Wenn ein Kabel beschädigt ist oder sich

nicht leicht bewegen lässt, lassen Sie es

von einem Keeway-Händler überprüfen

oder ersetzen.

WARNUNG

Eine Beschädigung des Außenge-

häuses der Kabel kann zum Rosten

der Kabel im Inneren führen und die

Bewegung der Kabel beeinträchti-

gen. Wenn die Kabel beschädigt sind,

müssen sie so schnell wie möglich

ausgetauscht werden, um unsichere

Bedingungen zu vermeiden.

Prüfen und Schmieren des Gasgriffs

und des Gaskabels

Prüfen Sie die Funktion des Gasgriffs vor

jeder Verwendung.

Lassen Sie das Kabel außerdem von einem

Keeway-Händler in den in der Tabelle der

planmäßigen Wartung angegebenen Inter-

vallen schmieren.

Das Gaskabel ist mit einer Gummihülle ver-

sehen.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Abdeckung

richtig angebracht ist. Selbst bei korrekter

Installation schützt die Abdeckung das Ka-

bel nicht vollständig vor eindringendem

Wasser.

Achten Sie deshalb darauf, dass Sie bei der

Reinigung Ihres Motorrads kein Wasser

direkt auf die Abdeckung oder das Kabel

gießen.

Wenn das Kabel oder die Abdeckung ver-

schmutzt ist, wischen Sie es mit einem

feuchten Tuch ab.
