Periodic maintenance and adjustment

To change the engine oil (with or without

oil filter replacement)

1. Place the vehicle on a flat surface and

keep it upright.

2. Start the engine, warm it up for several

minutes, and then turn it off.

3. Place a suitable container underneath

the engine.

4. Remove the engine oil filler cap, the

engine oil drain bolt and its gasket to

drain the oil from the crankcase.

TIP

Skip steps 5–13 if the oil filter is not being

replaced.

5. Use a marker pen to mark the splined

engine shaft position at the rod control

block of the gearchange pedal (A).

6. Take out the block.

7. Remove the oil filter cap.

NOTICE

When removing the oil filter cap, the

O-ring, the compression spring and

the engine oil filter fall out. Do not

lose these parts.

8. Remove the oil filter.

sure it is not damaged and replace, if
