Quarantine database
If, you have selected quarantine as a processing method for the scanned objects
(see section 5.5.1 on page 48) in the program settings, then the program will
place them in a special database.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus
®
for Lotus Notes/Domino allows detection of
viruses in infected messages, however, in order to remove these
viruses the administrator is advised to use other products, e.g.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus
®
Personal. For example, if the message has
attached archived infected files, Kaspersky Anti-Virus
®
for Lotus
Notes/Domino will detect any viruses in them but will be unable to
delete them in archive. In order to clean these infected files, the
administrator will have to unpack them first and then start the anti-virus
program.
The data stored in the quarantine database are divided into mail message
objects and database files of the Domino server:
•
Quarantine (mail)
– Section of the quarantine database for storing mail
message objects.
•
Quarantine (bases)
– Section of the quarantine database for storing
objects from the scanned Domino server databases.
The names of the quarantine database sections are located in the
Bases
section
in the left frame of the configuration database window (see Figure 9). The name
of each section is a hyperlink that can be used to refresh the right frame of the
window.
