5.5.4.
Ignoring infected objects
The user can enable a mode in which the program will ignore infected mail
message objects and grant users access to infected database objects. This
mode can be useful when you are sure that these users will use the anti-virus
program to clean the infected object themselves.
The program can ignore infected objects without attempting to disinfect them or
after they fail to be disinfected.
To instruct the program to ignore infected objects without attempting to
clean them, do the following:
1. In
the
Kernel options
section of the
Scan of mail
window (see
Figure 17) select
No
for the
Disinfect
parameter if it was
checked. The program will not attempt to clean infected messages.
Repeat this procedure for the
Scan of bases
window.
2. Open
the
Infected object
status window (see Figure 19).
3. Select
Skip
as a processing method for infected objects.
To instruct the program to ignore infected objects that fail to be
disinfected, do the following:
1. In
the
Kernel options
section of the
Scan of mail
window select
No
for the Disinfect parameter. The program will attempt to
clean infected objects. Repeat this procedure for the
Scan of
bases
window.
2. Open
the
Infected object
status window.
3. Select
Skip
as a processing method for disinfected objects.
4. As a result of these settings, users will receive infected messages
(see Figure 24).
In addition, the following modes can be enabled:
•
Notification of the recipients, the senders, and other users about blocked
infected objects (see section 5.4.3 on page 43).
•
Inserting the check-up mark in the message body (see section 5.4.4 on
page 45).
•
Logging all the actions in the report database log (see section 5.4.5 on
page 46).
