Firmware should be upgraded when it has become outdated. When upgrading the
firmware, all existing settings are unchanged. Only the new features are added with
their default settings.
The camera selects the corresponding firmware file automatically. Cookies and data in
the web browser are automatically deleted when the firmware is updated.
To upgrade the firmware version:
1. Download the latest camera firmware from our web site at
www.interlogix.com/video/category/ip-cameras.
2. When the firmware file has downloaded, extract the file to the required destination.
Note
: Do not save the file on the computer desktop.
3. From the menu toolbar, click
Configuration
>
Security
>
Maintenance
>
Upgrade
& Maintenance
. Select the
Firmware
or
Firmware Directory
option from the
Upgrade
drop-down list, and then click the
Browse
button to locate latest firmware
file on the computer.
•
Firmware directory
– Locate the folder containing the firmware file. The camera
chooses the appropriate firmware file automatically.
•
Firmware
– Locate the firmware file manually.
4. Click
Update
. A prompt to reboot the camera appears.
5. When the upgrade is finished, the device reboots automatically. The browser is also
refreshed.
TruVision Device Manager
Use the Manual Firmware Upgrade function to upgrade the firmware of the selected
device or devices in TruVision Device Manager. Before following the instructions in the
TruVision Device Manager User Manual
, ensure that the firmware update file has
already been downloaded to the local computer.
To access the

, go to
www.interlogix.com/video/product/truvision-device-manager and click
Downloads
.
Searching event logs
Configure NAS storage (see “NAS settings” on page 54) or insert a SD card in the
camera before using the log functions.
The number of event logs that can be stored on NAS or SD card depends on the
capacity of the storage devices. When the capacity limit is reached, the system starts
deleting older events.
Note:
View log access rights are required to search and view logs.
