BIKE COMMISSIONING INSTRUCTIONS
An unroadworthy bike can lead to dangerous riding situations, falling, accidents, material
damage or even death.
It is very important to familiarize yourself with the bike before first use. Identify which one of the brake
levers is acting on the front wheel and the rear wheel. Because braking power is high, we recommend
trying the brakes at low speed and as you become to get used to it increase speed. Do note that the
brakes will reach maximum braking efficiency only after running. If your bike has "click -in" pedals (the
system clamping shoe pedal) we recommend that you practice several times getting in and out of the
pedal. We recommend that this bike familiarization stage is performed in a safe zone, with minimized
movement of other vehicles or pedestrians. If your dealer confirms that the bike is fine and if you do
not have any questions that this manual or your dealer can respond to, you may start the ride.
For proper running of the bike, we recommend the following steps for commissioning, using
appropriate tools:
Tools used to mount bikes:
for fixing handlebar, use allen key 4, 5 or 6 mm or 13 wrench, depending on your bike
for attaching the front wheel in the fork, a 15 mm wrench is used in the case where the front
hub shaft comprises nuts at both ends
for fixing pedals, use a 15 mm wrench
to adjust the seat tube depending on the user's height, use a 13 mm wrench when tightening
clamp of the seat post has nuts
a) For disc brake bikes:
Step 1: Fitting the front wheel
The wheel is mounted in the fork so that the brake disc fits in the center of the brake caliper,
between the brake pads. Secure / tighten the quick release key of the front hub. If the front
hub does not have quick release key, you will do it with a 15 mm wrench.
Step 2: Fitting and adjusting the handlebar and stem of the bicycle
We use allen key 4, 5 or 6 mm to loosen the screw/screws from the handlebar stem. Place the
handlebars in the right position, parallel to the front axle hub. Tighten the cap containing the
screw positioned in length /on the direction of the steerer tube. The clamping force must be
