Camera access
The user can view the video recording made by the IP cameras through the Alien
interface, the web browser, the AlienMobile application (“Alie”version) or
keypad.
Via Graphic maps
Access to the graphic maps allows direct viewing on the display or screen associated
with the “Camera” object.
A window (predefined by the installer) will appear in place of the object concerned and
will show the video recording shot by the camera in real-time.
The type of video playback (snapshots in sequence or filmstrip) depends on the type
and make of the camera.
From the Alien keypad - access the “Apps” section by tapping the button
, then
press the “Maps” button.
Via the web browser, access the “Graphic Maps” section.
Once access has been obtained, navigate through the tree structure until you reach the
map containing the camera.
Via Web
Access the “Camera” section.
Two sections are available:
• “Real-time” - allows you to view the configured cameras and relative video
recordings in real-time.
Each camera has a box that shows:
•• information regarding the camera (description, make, time, date, etc.
•• snapshots taken in real-time
•• Snapshots button - allows you to view the recorded footage in snapshot
sequence
•• Video button - allows you to view the recorded footage in video format
• “Records” - allows you to view recorded footage after the occurrence of an event.
Each box provides:
•• information regarding the event that triggered the video recording (description,
time, date)
•• first snapshot of the recorded sequence
•• View button - allows you to view the recorded camera footage in specific
snapshot sequence (the snapshots which immediately precede and follow the
occurrence of the event)
Depending on the type and make of camera, it may be possible to use the pan, tilt and
zoom (PTZ) commands for viewing or select one the preset for viewing or operating
modes provided by the camera.
Via AlienMobile
The Alie application allows you not only to access viewing of recorded footage,
but also to add or configure the cameras you have access to.
Cameras can be configured or added to those available through the “Settings, Cameras”
section.
In this section you can select the camera by simply navigating through the
corresponding pages using the right/left arrow keys, or add a new camera by tapping
the right arrow key after the last configured camera.
Inside the open page, you can select the camera type and change a series of
parameters which vary depending on the type and make of camera.
You must tap the Save button in order to confirm any changes.
The “Cameras” section on the home page shows a list of cameras included.
You can obtain direct access to one of the configured cameras either by tapping the
View button, or by first tapping the
button (which allows simultaneous viewing of
the footage of all the configured cameras) and then tapping the corresponding box.
Once the cameras are accessed you can view the recorded footage in real-time and
interact with the camera functions supported by the type and make of the camera.
