Description:
This command is used to read the
current
communication protocol information configured for a
specified module.
Syntax:
$AAP[CHKSUM](CR)
$
Delimiter character
AA
The address of the module to be read in hexadecimal format (00 to FF)

The command to read the current communication protocol information
Response:
Valid Command:
!AASC[CHKSUM](CR)
Invalid Command:
?AA[CHKSUM](CR)

Delimiter character to indicate that the command was valid

Delimiter character to indicate that the command was invalid

The address of the responding module in hexadecimal format (00 to FF)

The communication protocol(s) supported by the module:
0: Only the DCON protocol is supported
1: Both the DCON and Modbus RTU protocols are supported
C
The communication protocol currently saved in the EEPROM that will be used at the
next power-on reset:
0: The communication protocol currently saved in the EEPROM is DCON
1: The communication protocol currently saved in the EEPROM is Modbus RTU
There will be no response if the command syntax is incorrect, there is a communication error, or
there is no module with the specified address.
Examples:
Command: $01P1
Response: !01
Sets the communication protocol to be used for module 01 to Modbus RTU and the
module returns a response indicating that the command was valid.
