1. Controlling the setting screen access
To prevent unauthorized access
You must carefully chose your password, and change it occasionally. See “Changing the administrator’s
password” on page 4 of the connection guide for password setting details.
• Choose one that is not easy to guess.
• Use numbers, characters and both lower and upper case letters.
NOTE:
If you have forgotten your password, you cannot access the AP-90M’s setting screen.
If you forget your password:
Hold down the [MODE] button by following the instructions described in the precautions guide.
The AP-90M will have to be reset to its default values.
Click [Management] and then click [Administrator].
• The “Administrator” screen is displayed.

Carefully enter the “Current Password,” and the desired password in “New Password,” and “New
Password (confirm)” of up to 31 characters. Use both lower and upper case letters.
• The passwords are displayed in dots or asterisks.

Click [Apply].
Enter the administrator’s user ID and the new password from now on.

As the default, you can access the setting screen with the User ID “admin” and Password “admin.”
You can prevent unauthorized access and setting modification by setting a password.
