Removing and replacing MAX5 Tier 1 CRUs

Replacement of Tier 1 CRUs is your responsibility. If IBM installs a Tier 1 CRU at
your request, you will be charged for the installation.

The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware.

Removing the MAX5 bezel

To remove the MAX5 bezel, complete the following steps:

Read the safety information and installation guidelines, see “Safety” on page vii
and “Installation guidelines” on page 261.

Press in on the release tabs on both end of the bezel and pull it off of the
chassis.

Replacing the MAX5 bezel

To replace the MAX5 bezel, complete the following steps:

Read the safety information that begins on page “Safety” on page vii and
“Installation guidelines” on page 261.

Align the bezel alignment tabs with the chassis and press the bezel onto the
chassis until it snaps into place.
