This configuration consists of one 8x1.8-inch drive backplane and requires two
SAS signal cables. You can also install the optional simple-swap 2.5-inch SATA
drive kit in this configuration.

The following illustrations show the supported combination of drive backplane
configurations that you can use to support 12 drives:

This configuration consists of three 4x2.5-inch drive backplanes and requires
three SAS signal cables.
