To unseat the fan from its position in the system, press in the terracotta locking-tab (A) as shown
in Figure 11.

Hold on to the fan handle and by using your hand to support the bottom of the fan, pull out the
fan from its slot.

Replacing a system fan in the 8335-GCA or 8335-GTA

To replace a system fan, complete the steps in this procedure.

Procedure

Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap attached. If not, attach it now.

Using your hand to support the bottom of the fan, align the fan (A) with the fan slot and slide it into
the system until the terracotta tab (A) locks in place, as shown in Figure 12 on page 19.
