Recovery:

1. Turn the power Off (O).

2. Make sure all parts of the automatic sheet feeder are installed correctly. See

the

IBM 4247 Printer Automatic Sheet Feeder Guide.

3. Turn the power On (|).

Incorrect Power On Paper Source selected in configuration. Change the
configuration to an available paper source.

Recovery:

1. Press Stop.

2. See the appropriate “configuring the printer” procedure for the desired paper

path.

For Rear Pull, see page 17-68.

For Push-Pull, see page 17-89.

Recovery:

1. Turn the power Off (O).
2. Remove the ribbon cartridge.
3. Turn the ribbon advance knob to be sure that the ribbon is advancing correctly.

If the ribbon does not advance correctly, replace the ribbon cartridge.

4. Reinstall the ribbon. (See “Removing the Ribbon Cartridge” on page 19-11 in

Chapter 19, “Supplies, Optional Features, and Maintenance.”)

5. Turn the power On (|).
6. If the printer displays again, call for service.
