Disinfecting, Cleaning and Maintenance

Disinfect the reusable Masimo sensors as follows:
1.
Disconnect the connection from both the patient and the patient cable.
2.
For disinfection, use a 1:10 bleach /water solution.
3.
Saturate a cloth or gauze pad with the cleaning solution und wipe all surfaces of the sensor and
cable.
4.
Saturate another cloth or gauze pad with sterile or distilled water and wipe all surfaces of the sensor
and cable.
5.
Dry the sensor with a clean cloth or dry gauze pad.

Disinfecting the patient cable
ATTENTION: Danger to cable functionality!
Do not use undiluted bleach 15% - 5.25% sodium hypochlorite or any cleaning solution other than
those recommended here because permanent damage to the sensor may occur.
Do not immerse the cable or connector in any liquid solution.
Do not sterilize by irradiation, steam autoclave or ethylene oxide!
