Identifying System Resources

To free COM2 by disabling infrared

The OmniBook automatically assigns PC card modems to COM3. If infrared
functionality is not required, you can free COM 2 for your modem.

1. Restart the OmniBook.

2. Press F2 when prompted to enter the System Configuration Utility (SCU).

3. Choose COM Ports from the Input/Output menu.

4. Change the IR port to None.

5. Save and Exit the SCU.
