Function
The power take-off pump powers the hydr. mo-
tor of the fan.
A pressure gauge displays the operating pres-
sure on the hydraulic system. This increases
proportionately with the fan speed and should
read between 50 and 130 bar.
The oil is passed through the cooler and a filter
back to the oil tank in the return system.
The pressure relief valve in the hydraulic block
protects the components and a return valve al-
lows the fan to continue running when the power
take-off is switched off.
A pressure gauge in the return system moni-
tors the dynamic pressure. The filter has to be
renewed at a return pressure over 2 bar.
The cooler slats have to be cleaned
regularly, because otherwise the cool-
ing air flow and air flow from the fan is
reduced. The hydraulic oil overheats
and the seed tubes get blocked.
The power take-off pump is attached
to the shaft end during assembly. The
pump has to be mounted tightly and
without tension to the tractor using the
brackets.
The pump should not move during
operation otherwise the shaft and the
bearings could be damaged.
