Maintenance

Maintenance list

To maintain the intrinsic function and performance of the detector, it is essential to perform
periodical maintenance, as well as to fully understand the function.
The maintenance time interval shown in Table 8 is a typical example under the standard
installation environment.
Some environment may require a different maintenance time interval; adjust the interval
properly according to the conditions.
For cautionary information on the installation environment, refer to “ Installation environment ”
(page 24).
For any inquiries or repair needs, feel free to contact us.

Periodical inspection

Cleaning optical window

Any dirt adhered to the window may cause scattering or absorption of laser light, disabling oil
film detection. Wipe off dirt using a glass cleaning agent.

Note

If the dirt is hard to be removed, use a neutral detergent.
Do not use an organic detergent such as thinner.

Checking monitoring position

Check for suspended foreign objects (debris or dead leaves) on the detection area. 
If such foreign objects are retained on the detection area, oil film may not be detected.
It is necessary to remove the suspended foreign objects and review the monitoring position.

Operation check

Check the operation according to the procedure in “ Operation test ” (page 31).
