A. No water test
Place the attached round tray (for test) or white paper under the detector as in Fig. 22.
Set it Inclined approx. 45

to the water surface by shutting out the laser light so that laser light
does not reflect to the detector side (no water) and then check the monitor screen.
This state is the same as the case where the reflection-less suspended matter is on the water
surface.

[LOW LEVEL] is displayed on the screen. At this time, check the contact of instrument error
(refer to Table 6).
Tip
When the lower limit error is invalid, [NORMAL RUN] is displayed on the screen. Note that this is a
normal operation.
B. Test with water
Pour the water in the round tray (for test) and check the operation displayed on the LCD
screen. The round tray should be used after cleaned with detergent.

Confirm that the operation is “with water” in Table 6.
CAUTION
In reflecting the laser light to any other thing than the detector for a test purpose, do not direct it to the
person.
If the laser light goes into eyes for a long period of time, it could cause decrease in the eyesight.
