Overview

Introduction

The laser scanning type oil film detector LO-300 is equipped with the LCD indicator of touch
panel type. With this indicator, various operations are available such as status check of oil film
detection area or optimum setting change for detection. LO-300 is a non-contact oil film
detector designed for installation at locations at which oil leakage could occur such as pits,
clean water reservoirs, pools, drainage ditches, and manholes.
It is suitable for early detection of oil leakage to the river or the sea and for prevention of
outflow accidents.

Features

LO-300 has the following features.

Distance of up to 4 m between the detector and water surface (detection area) is possible
(6 m for the still-water surface).

Signal processing by the built-in CPU realizes the area detection function as well as
removal of the noise due to ambient light.

Alarms caused by reasons other than oil leakage accident (accumulated oil film, iron
bacteria, insect, fish and others) can be excluded. 
[Ambient optical noise removal function]
Free from influence of ambient light such as lightning or camera flash. 

Improvement in maintenance ability
The recommended maintenance cycle is four years (improved to double compared with
our existing product).

Easily accessible monitor screen
A large-scale LCD indicator with touch panel has realized great improvement in visibility
and operability.

Easy installation
The optical device in the main body has our original hanging structure (bell-shaped
structure), which assures vertical installation of the instrument even with a slight
inclination of the detector, allowing easy installation work.
