C. Test with oil film
Pour the oil in the round tray (for test) containing water.
The oil volume should be the level to allow thin oil film on the tray surface.

Check that the [OIL ALARM] is displayed after approx. 10 s. when LEVEL and AREA exceed
the threshold level (continuous judgment time set at 10 s), confirming that the operation is
“with oil film” in Table 6.
Note

The oil film level changes depending on the oil type.

If area detection is valid, [OIL ALARM] may not occur according to the shape and the position of
the oil film.

Depending the oil type, oil film may be hard to be generated on the water surface; if this happens,
pour concentrate or water to the oil to perform the test.
Check the result of operation tests from A. to C. in Table 6.

“No water” means the state that the laser reflection light hardly returns.

Judgment result, current display and an external output of “With oil film” are kerosene.

Operation might be different from the one described in the detected operation table
according to the setting.

