MAINTENANCE

Support the scooter securely and raise the rear
wheel.

Check for worn final gear shaft bearings by grab-
bing the rear wheel and attempting to move the
wheel side to side.

Replace the final gear shaft bearings if any loose-
ness is noted (page 12-8).

Turn the wheel and check that it rotates smoothly
with no unusual noises.

If any abnormal conditions are suspected, check the
final reduction (page 12-6).

Check the tire pressure with a tire pressure gauge
when the tires are cold.

Check the tires for cuts, embedded nails, or other
damage.
Check the front and rear wheels for trueness.

Measure the tread depth at the center of the tires.
Replace the tires when the tread depth reaches the
following limits.

RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE:

Driver only:

Front: 200 kPa (2.00 kgf/cm
