STORAGE GUIDE
Necessary repairs should be performed before storing
the motorcycle. Otherwise these repairs may be
forgotten by the time the motorcycle is removed from
storage.
Extended storage requires that you take certain steps
to reduce the effects of deterioration from motorcycle
inactivity.
1. Change the engine oil.
2. Empty the fuel tank into an approved gasoline
container. Spray the inside of the tank with an
aerosol rust-inhibiting oil. Reinstall the fuel filler cap
on the tank.
3. Lubricate the drive chain.

The battery is charged during motorcycle use
while the charging system is operating under
normal use conditions. For a longer service life,
we recommend that the motorcycle be ridden at
least once a week.

Allowing the engine to idle for more than
5 minutes with the motorcycle stationary at
normal operating temperature may cause exhaust
pipe discoloration. The engine is air-cooled and
heat transfer with environment is necessary. The
heat transfer is affected when the motorcycle is
stationary.
