Cleaning and Maintenance

Always spare some time before and after riding your
motorcycle. To protect your investment, it is important that
you be responsible for properly maintaining your
motorcycle. The pre-riding inspection, daily maintenance
and cleaning are as important as the periodic maintenance
services performed by your authorized Honda dealer.
You can clean and maintain your motorcycle by yourself.
At the end of the manual you will find information on how to
wash, maintain and store your motorcycle, and how to
remove it from storage.
If you have questions or need any special services, see an
authorized Honda dealer that has qualified technicians
trained by the factory. They are completely familiarized with
your motorcycle and are always willing to help you.

Use only water and neutral shampoo to wash the
motorcycle.

Never use solvents and abrasive cleaning products.

•••••

Do not use wire wool to clean the wheels and rims.

•••••

Wash the motorcycle with a soft cloth through
circular strokes.

•••••

Do not dry the motorcycle with the same cloth used
to wash it. Use a clean cloth.

•••••

Strictly follow the recommended procedures for
cleaning and maintaining the motorcycle provided at
the end of the manual.

ATTENTION

Do not use high pressure devices to wash the
motorcycle. We recommend spraying low pressure
water through “fan-shaped” strokes at 1.2 m (4 ft)
minimum from the motorcycle.

Inadequate cleaning procedures or materials may
damage the motorcycle.
