Installation
Follow the removal procedure in the reverse order.
1. Position the front wheel between the fork legs and

insert the front axle from the right side, through the
left fork leg and wheel hub.

2. Make sure that the tang (8) on the left fork leg is

fitted into the brake panel boss (9).

3. Install and tighten the axle nut to the specified

torque.
TORQUE: 54 – 69 N.m (5.4 – 6.9 kgf.m; 39 – 50 lbf.ft)

4. Adjust the brake (pages 25 to 28).

If a torque wrench is not used for installation, see
your authorized Honda dealer as soon as possible to
check for proper assembly. Improper assembly may
lead to loss of braking effectiveness.

WARNING

After installing the wheel, apply the front brake
several times and check if the wheel rotates freely
after releasing the lever.  Recheck the wheel if the
brake drags or if the wheel does not rotate freely.
