2.5 System Components
The Cenova server includes the following components:
•
Cenova server
•
Software kit and ancillary components (cabling, manuals, etc.)
•
License dongle
For licensing, a serialized license dongle must be installed in a USB port on the back of
the server.
Sites can also purchase the Cenova server as software-only (no hardware). In this case,
the software must be installed on a site computer that meets the stated system
requirements.
Server
The server uses a Microsoft Windows operating system. For its initial configuration, the
server must be connected to a laptop (or monitor, keyboard, and mouse) provided by the
service technician. Thereafter, remote access to the server is provided by a web page,
accessible from a workstation or any computer on the clinic network.
Software Kit
The system is shipped with a set of ancillary components including the software
applications, cables, and manuals. For more information, see
page 25.
License Dongle
The USB license dongle must be installed in a USB port on the back of the server. For
more information, see
on page 25.
Upgrade Kits
The upgrade kit procedures let you upgrade all qualified existing Cenova 2.x systems
running on Windows 7 to the Cenova 3.0 software. Basic Windows installation and
configuration experience is necessary to complete the upgrade. Only Windows 7 is
supported. Kits to upgrade Windows XP hardware to Windows 7 are available.
Important
Ensure the minimum hardware requirements to run Windows 7 are met (refer to the
Cenova™ Image Analytics Server System Requirements
).
Note
Quantra 2.2 software supports only Hologic FFDMs. Mixed environments of Hologic
and non-Hologic FFDMs using the same Cenova server need a new Cenova 3.0 server
for Quantra 2.2 software, and all necessary licenses for Hologic FFDMs need to be
migrated to the Cenova 3.0 server. Customers can also choose to leave the non-Hologic
FFDMs and licenses on the existing Cenova server.
