5.4 Replacing the Computer
Use this procedure if you determine that the computer must be replaced.
Warning:
Do not disassemble or modify the computer unless you are authorized to do
so by Hologic. The computer incorporates parts that can cause electrical
shock as well as other hazardous parts which, if touched, can cause death or
serious injury.
Note
If DICOM 6000 Interface is installed on the Cenova server, manually record the
configuration settings before replacing the system.
To replace the server computer:
1.
Record network identifiers. On the server that is being replaced, record the current
settings for the server’s host name, DNS server, IP address, subnet mask, and default
gateway (see
Entering the Server Network Identifiers
on page 27). You will re-enter the
settings on the new server (see step 4 below).
2.
Back up the server Control Panel settings (see
Backing Up and Restoring the Server
on page 77).
Note
If it is not possible to access the network identifiers or Control Panel settings,
locate the most recent backup to use.
3.
Replace computer.
a.
Power down the server.
b.
Disconnect all cables and power cord.

Replace the computer, then reconnect cables, power cord, and license dongle. For
