Safety Instructions
The pump is built for safe and problem-free operation
under the condition that it is operated in accordance with
the user‘s manual.
Before first using the pump, carefully study
this user‘s manual. In this way, you will prevent
serious damage to the equipment or even
potential injury.
• Never use the pump in an environment where there is
an explosion hazard. Only use the pump outdoors in
well ventilated areas.
• Always carry out a preliminary operational test before
starting work. In this way you can prevent injury or
damage to the equipment.
• For safety reasons, never use the pump to pump flamma-
ble and aggressive liquids such as petrol or acid. To prevent
corrosion of the pump, never pump seawater, chemicals
and caustic agents such as used oil, wine or milk.
• Position the pump on a firm even surface so that it does
not tip over.
• To prevent a fire hazard to ensure sufficient ventilation,
position the pump at least 1 m from the building and
other equipment. Do not place any flammable or explo-
sive substances in the vicinity of the engine.
• Children and household pets must maintain a safe distance, since
there exists a risk of burns from the hot parts of the engine.
• You should know the method by which the engine is
shut off as quickly as possible. Apart from this, you
should also thoroughly acquaint yourself with the ope-
ration of the control elements. Do not allow anybody to
operate the pump without prior instruction.
• Fuel must be added in well-ventilated area and with
the engine turned off.
• Petrol is an exceptionally flammable substance and
under certain conditions it is explosive.
• Do not overfill the tank.
• Ensure that the fuel tank cap is securely closed.
• In the event that fuel leaks, unconditionally ensure that
this location is sufficiently dry and that the fuel fumes
have evaporated before starting the engine.
• While tanking, and when fuels are placed in the vicini-
ty, do not smoke and do not use an open flame.
• Emissions contain the toxic carbon monoxide. Their inhalation
may lead to a loss of consciousness and potentially to death.
Never leave the engine running in an enclosed or confined area.
• Locate the engine on a solid base. Do not tilt the engine
by more than 20° from the horizontal position. In the
event of a greater angle, there is a risk of fuel spilling out.
• To prevent a possible fire hazard, do not place any items
on the engine.
• The exhaust pipe is very hot during operation and remains
hot for a long time after the engine is turned off, therefore,
do not touch it. To prevent serious burns or the risk of the
pump catching on fire, allow the engine to cool down befo-
re transporting it or storing it in enclosed areas.
