6.4 Further information on device configuration in Program mode
6.4.1 Standard setup
Use this procedure (menu item A4.1 Standard Setup) to change the length unit, tank type, tank
height, current output variable, 0% range, 100% range, current output range and error function.
Values and parameters that can be changed are shown between the

marks in the
illustrations that follow. Push the keypad buttons in the correct sequence:

Make sure that you do this procedure before you use the device. The settings in this procedure
have an effect on the performance of the device.

When you do the Standard setup
Standard setup Standard setup
Standard setup procedure, the measurement value on the first measurement
page of the LCD display (in Normal mode) automatically uses settings with the same parameters
and values as the current output settings (measurement variable, 0% range and 100% range).
The first measurement page shows "one value and bar" by default. If you must show one or more
measurement values that are different to the transmitted output signal, change the settings in
the C6.4 1st Meas. Page and C6.5 2nd Meas. Page menus. For more data, refer to Function
description on page 77

Screen Steps Description

Enter Program mode and go to menu item
A3 Login.

"Expert" access level. If it is the default
password, enter "0058".

Setup procedure.
Length unit. Make a selection from the list
of parameters.

tank type (Flat Surface, Medium
Slope or Steep Slope).

Tank type. Make a selection from the list of
parameters. If the surface of the product is
flat, select "Flat Surface". If the surface of
the product is has a small angle, select
"Medium Slope". If the surface of the
product has a large angle, select "Steep
Slope".
