Install belt tensionmeter(1) to the center of the
longest free length and check tension. Correct
tension of new belt is 535N. It the tension is
lower than 250N, adjust the belt to 535N.
If install two belts, check both belt‘s tension
and adjust the tighter belt.
PERKINS 1104D Engine: adjust
1. Loosen AC motor pivot bolt(2) and bolt
(3).
2. Move AC motor to increase or reduce
belt tension. Tighten AC motor pivot bolt and
connecting rod bolt to 22N.m.
QSB3.3,QSB4.5 ,QSF2.8 engines equip
with automatic tensioning pulley, and their fan
belt tension do not need adjust.
Caution
If the belt is loose, cut out, or has no surplus
it should be changed.
DO NOT perform this check with the engine
running to avoid personal injury.
3. Hydraulic transmission fluid level
Open the inspections cover and pull out the
oil scale. Inspect if the fluid level is within the
mark of the gauge.
4. Mast and forks
Check the mast and forks to make sure:

There is no crack and bend on the forks,
and the forks are installed on the fork
bracket strongly;
②
Check if there is oil leakage on the cylinder
and tubing;
③ Check the rollers‘ rotation;
④
Check the mast if there are cracks or
bends;
⑤
Operate the lifting, tilting and attachment
lever, check the mast if it‘s in good
condition, and pay attention to system
operating sound.
5. Lift chain tension check
①
Raise the fork about 10-15 cm above the
ground and make it vertical.
②
Press middle of the chain by thumb. Make
certain the tension for the right and left
chains are even.
③
Adjust the tension: Loosen the lock nut 1,
screw the nut 2 and adjust the chain to make
the equal tension, and then screw down the
lock nut 1.
