Slowly sweep the target in and out until
the highest number displays on the R-
1307 Readout. Record that number on a
sheet of paper.
Note:
Be sure to note whether the
number is positive (+) or negative (-).
Repeat this procedure in each of the
components to be measured.
Calculating the Bore Misalignment
Left side of bore target reading = .000
Right side of bore target reading = +.026
The bore is misaligned by half of the reading (.013 – measured from the right side, looking into the
target)
Bottom of bore target reading = -.045.
The bore is misaligned by -.045 minus .013 or -.032 (low)
