After configuring the terminal parameters, open HyperTerminal and use a serial port
cable to connect COM1 of the client PC to serial port 1 of the IX1000.
4.2.3 System Power-On
I. Check before system power-on
Before powering on the system, check that:
z
The power cable is connected correctly.
z
The voltage of the power supply meets the requirement of the IX1000.
z
The console cable is connected correctly, the terminal for configuration (which can
be a PC) is running, and parameter setting has been completed.
Caution:
Before powering on the IX1000, make sure that the ground cable and the two AC power
inputs of your IX1000 have been properly connected.
II. Power on the system
After all items above are checked, turn on the external power supply and switch on the
power button on the IX1000 rear panel (as shown in
) to power on the device
and start up the system.
