Operation with a Second Recorder
Copying
Select the programme position for the second recorder by
repeatedly pressing the
a
button until »
A2
« appears in
the display of the recording video recorder.
Start playback on the playback recorder by simultaneously
pressing the two
M
RECORD
;
buttons on the remote con-
trol, or press the
M ;
buttons on the recorder.
Copying is started and the TV screen serves as a monitor for
checking.
Recording title lines
If you press the
*
button before or during recording, the
title line is added to the recording.
Press the
*
button once again to suppress the title line.
Terminating recording
Press the
`
button to terminate recording.
When copying SECAM broadcasts you must also press
the
U
button.

Connecting
Connect the AV 2 socket of your recorder with the correspon-
ding socket of the other recorder.
Connecting cables are available from your dealer.
Preparation
Switch the TV set on (serves as a monitor for checking) and
select the programme position for video playback.
Insert the cassette to be copied into the playback recorder,
and insert a cassette with sufficient playing time into the re-
cording recorder.
7. Special Functions
Re-recording
Switch on the TV set (for use as a monitor) and select the
programme position for the video recorder).
Load a cassette you want to record over into the playback
recorder, and load a cassette with sufficient playing time into
your recorder (GV 470).
Select the input socket by continuing to press the
a
button
on the remote control until »
S I
« (for the S-VHS IN/L AUDIO R
socket) appears in the recorder´s display.
Start playback on the playback recorder and simultaneously
press the
M
RECORD
;
buttons on your recorder (GV 470).
Re-recording begins, and you can monitor progress with the
TV.
Recording the title line
Press the
*
button before starting to record, or during the
to recording procedure, to record the title line.
To make the title line disappear, simply press the
*
button
again.
Terminating recording
Press the

button to terminate recording.

Connecting
Open the front cover of the recorder.
Picture signal
Connect the S-VHS IN socket (= S-VHS socket S 1) of your
recorder with the picture socket of the other S-VHS recorder.
Sound signal
Connect the L AUDIO R sockets of your recorder with the cor-
responding sound socket of the other S-VHS recorder.
Your dealer has the necessary cable.
If your second recorder provides a Y chrominance signal
(separ-ate picture and colour signal), please note the set-
ting of the EURO-AV Sockets.
