5. Turn the encoder lock collar (shown in blue) to point up. Then use the 2.5 mm Allen wrench to
tighten the
lock collar screw
.
6. Plug the encoder cable into one of the encoder ports on the back of the machine.

7. To prevent the long encoder cable from catching on the rear corner of the bottom carriage,
use the adhesive zip tie mount and zip tie to fasten the long encoder cable to the side of the
bottom carriage (shown in gray).
• For best results, place the zip tie mount above the rear wheel. Fasten the encoder cable so
that all the slack in the cord is between the mount and the machine (not the mount and the
wheel).
