4. 

Wrap the thread clockwise around the bobbin a few times to hold the thread in place. The 

thread should be held taut. Then push the bobbin cam toward the bobbin to start winding.

Tip:

 Check your bobbin to see how it is winding. Thread should distribute evenly along the 

bobbin and appear neat and smooth.

5. 

When the bobbin is full, the winding will automatically stop (to adjust bobbin fill levels, see 

“Adjusting the Bobbin Cam” on page 66). Cut the excess thread using the built-in 

thread 

cutter next to the bobbin stand.
