There is no rigid map of registers responsible for the state of a given group. The map is
configured in the logic VERTEX engine, depending on the needs.
The configuration which register is to take a given value after the group state change is adapted on a
case-by-case basis during the system start-up.
The designed or integrator can decide which
registers will be responsible for representing individual groups in the system.
Important!
Plan the registers in such a manner as to prevent overlapping of the registers used for control and for
feedback. Otherwise, the control signal can loop and the system will operate incorrectly!
DESIGNING THE MODBUS TCP REGISTER MAP
While designing the Modbus register map take into account the following parameters:
•
Number of groups which will be controlled from the BMS;
•
Number of groups which will require feedback to the BMS;
•
Value range that will be entered;
o
E.g. 0-1 in case of ON/OFF control
o
0-100
– in case of stepless brightness control (w %)
o
0-65535
– in case of colour temperature control (in K)
•
Operation description;
o
ON/OFF
o
Lighting level in %
o
Colour temperature in K

The control and feedback registers
do not overlap
– the system will operate correctly.
Example 2
–

– overlapping registers:
feedback from the Room_2 group and
control from the Office group:

The registers overlap
– there will be a loop. The state change in the
Room_2
group
will acuxse control
of the
Office
group.
