6. PROGRAMMING THE EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
The document includes the description of actions and programming scope of the CTI DALI emergency
lighting for the system installer and user.
The description does not included the lighting control programming: supervision (night) lighting,
switching off the luminaires when the building is not used, etc. Such functions are programmed by
specialized ES-SYSTEM service personnel.
IDENTIFICATION OF EMERGENCY LUMINAIRES
The luminaires are addressed randomly in the DALI communication system. As a result, it is
necessary to identify the luminaires in the system and assign names/ design names to them according
to the lighting system design.
Important!
The identification function allows finding a luminaire in the building. When this action is triggered, a
luminaire or another device starts flashing at a constant frequency, indicating its position.
Note!
Before the identification, make sure all luminaires are correctly found and the number of installed
devices conforms to the information in the system.
Identification procedure:

Go to the
Grouping
screen
•
Use the
Identify
button to activate flashing of the light source
•
Use the
Change Name
button to assign the name to a device
•
Disable identification
•
Go to the next device

Highlight a device on the list
•
Use the
Identify
button to activate light source flashing
•
Use the
Change Name
button to assign the name to a device
•
Use the
Change Design Name
button to assign the design name to a device
