HSSI (DTE/DCE) LIM Overview

The HSSI-DTE and HSSI-DCE LIMs can be used with a variety of
controllers listed in

Table 1-4

. These are two-port HSSI Frame (DCE) or

HSSI Cell (DTE) LIMs. The front panel features are the same for either
LIM, except where noted.

Front Panel Indicators

•

(In-Service) LED illuminates when the associated link is

enabled.

•

(Out-of-Service) LED illuminates when the associated link is

disabled.

•

TX (Transmit Data) LED illuminates when transmit data is present at
the associated link interface.

•

(Received Data) LED illuminates when received data is present

at the associated link.

•

(Loopback)LED illuminates when a local loopback is present on

the associated link.

Front Panel Connectors

•

LINK 0

is a female 50-pin connector for attaching external

communication devices to Link 0.

•

LINK 1

is female 50-pin connector for attaching external

communication devices to Link 1.
