Installation and Operation Manual
Chapter 3:
SC-SDT Configuration
Configuration Overview
SC-SDT configuration is performed through the command line interface (CLI). You can execute
CLI commands at a HyperTerminal connection or through a Telnet connection. A brief overview
of CLI is provided below. For a detailed guide to Smart CLI, refer to Appendix A, Application
Guidelines . The web-based CLI is described in Chapter 4, The Web Interface .
The SC-SDT command line interface is an interactive means of configuring the SC-SDT through a
Telnet session over the LAN or by typing commands at a VT100-compatible ACSII terminal
connected to the SC-SDT
CRAFT
port. The CLI is a smart, controlled-access interface that provides
general and context-sensitive help, automatically expands abbreviated command or subcommands
and also anticipates any required command arguments. The CLI will prompt for any required
argument that is missing from a command line.
