Fit the scraper seal [605] onto the bed support [301]. Ensure that the flat underside
of the scraper seal is placed in contact with the flange of the bed support.

Fit the O-ring [604] by gently moving it down the bed support a bit at a time
around the circumference. Use 20% (v/v) ethanol for lubrication. This may be
achieved by gently pulling a section of the O-ring out from the bed support wall
and moving it downwards a fraction, and then repeating on an adjacent section
of the O-ring and so on.
The scraper seal can be mounted in a plastic container filled with water
to facilitate the placement of the scraper seal and O-ring and to avoid
trapping air.
Note:
CAUTION
Avoid rolling the O-ring down the bed support as this may
lead to twisting of the O-ring, which may cause leakage.
Continue until the O-ring has come into contact with the top of the wall of the
scraper seal [605].
