Emergency Run Operation
In normal operation the ASTAT XL is controlled via a remote two-wire signal (terminals 56, 57).
Emergency Run is controlled by a two-wire circuit connected to Input A (terminals 53, 55). Closing Input
A causes the ASTAT XL to run the motor and ignore certain trip conditions.

Although the Emergency Run satisfies the functionality requirements of Fire Mode, GE does
not recommend its use in situations that require testing and/or compliance with specific
standards as it is not certified.
