8.3.5 Configure System RAS and Performance Submenu
Settings for memory configuration are configured on the [Configure System RAS and Performance]
submenu.

Item Settings Description
Hardware Memory Test • Enabled (initial value)
• Disabled Set whether or not to enable the POST memory
test.
Patrol Scrub Enabled (unchangeable) Set to enable the memory scrubbing function.
Retest All System Memory • Enabled
• Disabled (initial value) Set whether or not to retest all system memory
after the event such as replacing the memory.
”Enabled” returns to “Disabled“ automatically
after testing.
Sparing Threshold 15 (unchangeable) This value cannot be changed.
RAID Upgrade Gap Disabled (unchangeable) Set the size of memory which can be added
when hot-replacing the memory boards in the
memory RAID configuration.

Configuration The current memory configuration is displayed.
Max Effective Size The maximum effective size of memory is displayed in MB.
Min Effective Size The size in case of that the maximum size of memory is set to the spare is displayed
in MB.
Capabilities
Configuration Possible Availability of selected memory configuration is displayed.
Sparing Availability of spare memory with the current memory configuration is displayed.
Hot Replace Availability of Hot Replace with the current memory configuration is displayed.
Hot Add Availability of Hot Add with the current memory configuration is displayed. “Hot
Add” is not supported.
Board Interleave The information on memory board interleave is displayed.
