16.14 Operating Description of Noise Filter
This section describes the operations of the noise filter for the 8/16-bit composite timer.
When the input capture or PWC timer function has been selected, a noise filter can be used to eliminate the
pulse noise of the signal from the external input pin (EC00/EC01). H-pulse noise, L-pulse noise, or H/L-
pulse noise elimination can be selected depending on the register setting (TMCR0:F11, F10, F01, F00). The
maximum pulse width from which to eliminate noise is three machine clock cycles. When the filter
function is active, the signal input is subject to a delay of four machine clock cycles.
