Basic Operation

2. Turning splicer "ON"

Press . The READY screen is displayed

after all the motors reset to their initial

positions. The power source type is then

identified. If operating on battery, the

remaining battery capacity is displayed.

Monitor Angle

Adjust the monitor angle to comfortably

see the screen.

Monitor brightness

Monitor visibility can be a problem
depending on environmental conditions.
To change the monitor brightness, press

or to change the value and press

to confirm.

Splice Mode

Select the appropriate splicing mode for the

specific fiber combination. The current

mode is displayed on the READY screen.

Heat Mode

Select the appropriate heating mode for the

specific protection sleeve used. The current

mode is displayed on the READY screen.

The Help screen can be displayed by
pushing several times.

• When selecting AUTO mode, arc

calibration is automatically

performed for consistent splicing

performance.
