Point of the splice procedure

• Place fiber in the bottom of V-groove for successful splicing.

• Make sure if the cleave length is correct. Fiber coating edge may hit the V-groove in
case with shorter cleave length, and then the fibers may not be stuffed each other during
arc discharge and result in worse splice loss.

• Do not put tension to the fibers, or the fibers may not be stuffed each other during arc

discharge and result in worse splice loss.
