Optical Test port

Optical port for return loss testing,

loss testing, and for generating a

270 Hz (1 kHz, 2 kHz) tone. Use the

provided APC/UPC reference cable

for connections.

Voice port

Allows connection to another

TURBOTEST 500B or a compatible

talk set.

Serial Transfer Cable input

Allows connection to a PC for file

transfer.

Power port

DC power input (18 V, 2.2 A maximum).

This is the interface for the AC power

adapter.

OPM optical input

(Adapter Cap mount)

Accepts Noyes thread-on adapter

caps.

Adapter cap

The OPM port must be equipped with an adapter cap.

Caps for different connector styles are available from

Noyes.

Removable Cleaning port

Provides access to the internal ferrule

for safe and easy cleaning.

AC/Charger indicator

When [ON], indicates that an AC

adapter is connected to the TURBOTEST

500B. The red light indicates that the

rechargeable battery is charging. The

green light indicates that the battery is

fully charged.
