5.3 Replacing the Maintenance Cartridge

The maintenance cartridge absorbs ink consumed during head cleaning. This section explains

how to replace used maintenance cartridges.

5.3.1 Checking the Free Space in the Maintenance Cartridge

The free space in the maintenance cartridge can be checked in the Notification Message.

Displays the Notification Message.

“2.4.1 Notification Message Display Method” (Page 2-15)

Check the remaining capacity in the maintenance cartridge.

When it is time to replace the maintenance cartridge, the printer’s Maintenance Cartridge

light turns on.

Also, an error message is displayed on the computer’s screen.
