Part 4: After Printing
Removing the Build Platform

W hen the model has finished p rinting, wait at least 10 min utes to
allo w e xce ss resin to drip out before opening the lid .

Insert a 9.5 "x14 .5" cutting boa rd and lay it on top of the vat. Alwa ys
insert the cutting b oard before remo ving the build p latform to avo id
dripp ing re sin insid e the machine.

Remove the build h ead as described Part 2: Bu ild p latform.

Rotate the pla tform to face upwa rd o r hold a containe r un der the
platform to catch a ny resin.

Scrape e xcess resin off the build platform into the tra y b efore
transferring to the finish ing station.

Make su re you kee p the co ver clo sed to protect the resin from
exte rnal UV light.
Finishing Ste ps
General Step s
● Transfer the platform to your self -prepared finishing station.
● Use the corner of the paint scraper to release some part of the base
of your model, then remo ve the who le model. The scrape r may be
sharp. Please be careful not to hurt yourself. Sometimes you ma y
find it useful to use a rubber ma llet in c onjunction with th e scrape r
to work the part off.
● To rinse excess resin from the model, fill your container with 99%
isoprop yl a lcoho l (IPA) and pla ce you r model inside. Let it soak for
15 minutes. You m ay try hold ing the model with tongs a nd swirling
the model inside th e container filled with IPA to work out any loose
resin . W e recommend you co ve r the container with a plate to
pre vent e xcessive evapo ration of the IPA.
● Take the model out of the IPA using the tongs after soaking for 15
minutes.
● Remove the supports carefully.
○ Use the flush cutters to snip away supports or chisel them
a wa y with the pa int scrappe r and rubber mallet.
● Put the model on some paper tissue to dry.
