Part 6: RetinaCreate
Overview
Retina Create is an easy to use p rogra m for preparing 3 D models for
printing on you r Pe gasus Touch. Retin aCreate is intende d only to
facilitate p rin ting o bjects --it is not a g eneral pu rpose 3D editing p rogram.
It includes basic 3 D manipulation tools for part p lacement, orientation,
and size. RetinaCreate uses the stan dard .STL file format produced b y
many 3 D prog rams such as Blender, ZBrush, Auto Desk In vento r,
Solid works, etc.
Models may contain defects such as h oles that p re vent th em from being
printed. For ad vanced 3 D editing and repair features, con sider using 3 rd
party 3 D prep rocessing softwa re such as the freely a va ila ble Me shMixe r
(
www.meshm ixer.com ) or NetFabb Private/Professiona l ( www.netfab.com ).
Both of these programs will a llo w you to repair bro ken .STL files before
printing.
